John M Godwin

I am an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot in Single Engine Land and Sea Airplanes and hold Flight Instructor-Airplane and Advanced Ground Instructor Certificates.

I fly out of San Jose (SJC), Reid Hillview (RHV), San Martin (E16), and have towed gliders at Hollister (3O7).

I began flying in 1969 at Gillespie (SEE) near San Diego, California where I earned my Private Pilot Certificate. I trained and received my Commercial Pilot at Raleigh Municipal (2LE) and Instrument Rating at Raleigh-Durham (RDU) in North Carolina. I received my Instructor Ratings at Reid Hillview (RHV), San Jose, California.

	I am member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America,
	I was also a Volunteer Pilot for AirLifeLine in Northern California.
	AirLifeLine has now merged with Angel Flight America so now I'm an Angel Flight Mission Pilot.

To help fill my time (and Bank Account), I also developed web pages as both an independent programmer and as web development contractor for several Fortune 500 companies.

I am part owner of a SOCATA Rallye 235E (Morane Saulnier) which my partners & I use to provide free air transportation for people in need. Although cruising speeds are moderate, the STOL characteristics (automatic Leading Edge Slats, etc.) make it truely fun to fly.

Our customer wanted the text and a few pictures from their existing marketing brochure made available on the Internet. With our Digital Camera, Aviline Services added several more pictures and edited all pictures with Adobe Photoshop. We wanted to keep the ceramic-technical motif of the site and shaded the pictures so as to appear as if ceramic tiles.

We also contacted the customer's existing Internet Service Provider (ISP) and made all the arrangements by acquiring the Domain Name, loaded their pages to the ISP's Server, and coordinated establishment of the mail service for the customer.

Myvick Aviation

This customer did not have any previous presence on the internet. We took the photographs, edited them, and created thumbnails (which significantly reduces initial web page loading times).

After the web pages were complete, we contacted an ISP and started a low-cost account for the customer. We handled all the setup, worked with the ISP, and even helped install and configure internet software on the customer's personal computer.

Note: When we designed and implemented these sites (text, photos, and artwork), we emphasized simplicity and improved download times. Where possible, emphasis is placed on shortening the time required to download and display each web page.
